The Eternal Man Woman and Child
My view on the human place in the universe is that we are not seperate from the universe that surrounds us. We are interwoven physically, mentally, and emotionally with the fabric of existence. We are as a result the cause of our existence, which is why I call this sketch "The Eternal Man Woman and Child". The self perpetuating nature of all things is both reflected in us and a reflection of us. We are the eternal.

He's not heavy
I've lost 2 little brothers in my life to tragedy.
One to suicide and the other to mental illness.
Neither was actually my paternal brother, but I
was still their big brother.
I've been carrying this drawing around for a long
time looking for the opportunity to make it into
a painting.

As an artist I see the task at hand that is most pressing and urgent in it's need to be addressed to be the necessity for unflinching self evaluation. The evaluation of what we as a species consider a highly intelligent civilization to be. If the truth is the light by which we dispell the dark abyss of ignorance, then why is it that truth is even today a word up for so much debate?
